Come visit our cousin property, The Ford Cabin, A magnificent 1800's log home with all modern amenities, on a nature conservatory farm nestled at 2000 feet on House Mountain. Only 7 miles from Lexington. Remote, private and authentic! Has all the history and charm of another age.
There is a fully equipped kitchen in the cabin. No food service is provided.
This 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin is just minutes from downtown Lexington, but feels worlds away. Cook out and hike to the top of Lexington's trademark mountain, House Mountain, stop in for shopping in Lexington's downtown, or sit on the private porches and watch the day go by!
Recreation and Activities: Hiking, canoeing, tubing, golfing, skiing, and horseback riding all nearby. On the grounds: badminton, croquet, and horseshoes.
Surrounding Attractions and Special Events: Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Mountains, Natural Bridge, Historic Lexington, Robert E. Lee Chapel, Stonewall Jackson House, George Washington National Forest, and Virginia Horse Center close by. An hour drive from Monticello, and historic Charlottesville, and the University of Virginia. Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute are but 10 minutes away, and Southern Virginia University is 15 minutes away.

CABIN POLICIES
- Accommodations: Sleeps up to 6. Best for 2 to 4 adults and children.
- Children Welcome
- Well behaved pets allowed by advance request with additional fee
- Rates: $250 per night for two people.
- $25.00 per additional person per night. Discounts for weekly (Friday to Friday) or monthly rentals.
- Rates subject to change without notice.
- Minimum Stay: 2 nights
- 3 nights on special weekends (graduation, parents weekends)
- Security Deposit and Payments: 50% of stay due on booking, the other 50% due upon arrival. Security Deposit equal to one night lodging due at time of booking and is fully refundable provided no damage occurs during your stay. This refund will normally occur within 7 days after your departure.
- Special Weekends: 100% in advance, non refundable
- Visa, MasterCard, and personal checks are accepted.
- Cancellation Policy: 30 days' notice
- A $25 booking fee will be charged on cancellations.

Take Exit 188, which is the U.S. Route 60 Exit
Head West on Rt. 60
Go through downtown Lexington
Stay on Rt. 60 (Nelson Street)
Turn left onto Jacktown Road.
Turn right onto Sugar Creek Road
Then right onto Hawkridge Lane
The cabin is the first drive to the right
Approximately 8 miles from downtown Lexington.
From downtown Lexington:
Head West onto U. S. Route 60 (Nelson Street)
Then turn left onto Jacktown Road
